RATES:-  As we like to offer Competitive Rates to our clients we ask that you contact our Offices for Specials and Discounts on Offer.          

When you are quoted a Bare Boat rate this means that fuel and outboard oil is provided for the charter but is to be paid by the clients at the end of their trip direct to the fuel jetty and in US dollars cash.

1 x Captain and 1 x Cook/Deckhand.

The crew have their own private ablutions.

Tender Boats

There are two pontoon style  tender boats provided for Fishing and Game viewing.One is powered by 15h.p. motor which takes 5 pax and has roof and the other is also powered by 15h.p. motor but seats 8 pax – no roof. Please note that only the crew of Tantalika are permitted to drive these boats.


Lower Deck Hosts:


2 x spacious double rooms (single beds pushed together) – air-conditioned and have mounted fans
2 x spacious single rooms (2 x single beds in each) – air-conditioned and have mounted fans.
Cabins have mosquito nets and sliding doors as well as storage space

Please note that the air-con units do not run throughout the night and operate during the day for certain times only – when the air-con units are switched off in the evenings, the fans will work and can run for 7-10 hours depending on the speed they are used.

2 x enclosed showers, toilets and hand basins

Hot water is provided by means of gas geyser.

Fully equipped kitchen with gas stove/oven and ample cold space

 Upper Deck Hosts:-

Covered dining and bar area on the top deck

Towards the front of the boat it is open and is ideal for sun tanning. 

Splash pool with shade awning and sun loungers.

CD player – clients to provide own discs and Docking Station. 

Please note any breakages to the CD player

whilst on charter will be for the client’s account.

1 x crayfish trap provided.


Mooring Harbour       CMED Harbour, Kariba
Car Park Charges

US$ 5-00 per vehicle per night payable by guests on arrival at the harbour direct.

Boarding Time Strictly 12 Noon onwards – unless arranged otherwise
Disembarking Time 09:30a.m. – unless arranged otherwise.

Cleaning Materials such as dishwashing liquid, bin bags, toilet rolls, air-freshener, dish cloths, etc., are not provided and are for the guests to please supply.

Catering, drinks, ice, bait and fishing rod hire can all be organised separately through us – please contact our office for prices.

All Visitors travelling on Lake Kariba are required to pay a Lake Entry Fee and to purchase Fishing Permits.  This is done so direct at the harbour to the Parks Officer on duty and the current fees being charged are as follows:-

Lake Entry

US$ 3-00 per Zimbabwe resident per day

US$ 6-00 per Regional resident per day

US$ 8-00 per International resident per day

Fishing Permits

US$ 5-00 per Zimbabwe resident fishing per day

US$10-00 per non-Zimbabwe resident fishing per day

Children under the age of 10 years pay half price on the above fees.  On occasion the Parks Officers request proof of Nationality so please ensure you have your ID book/Passport with you when paying these fees.
